Teacher Testimonials 5-20-2009

"L&L is helping me become a better teacher and parent.  It is a way to help children become thinkers - better prepared to make decisions in the future."

"I would recommend this program to everyone I know because it focuses on positive, calm handling of everyday situations.  People...will find the L&L methods far less stressful and far more effective.  L&L should be a required class in college for all teachers, especially while they are student teaching!  Refresher courses would be wonderful as well, for people like me who need to unlearn old ways of thinking and reacting!"

"This class has taught me how to stay in control while still giving children the sense of independence."

"- helped me to be a better, happier teacher!"

"- able to apply this to my classroom right away!"

"- quick and simple preventative interventions that can help to avoid behavior issues and give you  more time to focus on teaching."

"- once you know it, it is simple, don't need extra tools, but yourself - always with you!"

"- great class - well worth my time."

" - will save time now and  sanity later."

" - now working smarter, not harder."

" - a great strategy for improving relationships and empowering others to solve their own problems while maintaining a positive self-concept."

" - reminds us of what is important and why we came into this field in the first place!"

We Hear these typical comments from astonished parents:

  • What a deal! The whole series costs less than one visit to the therapist!
  • Why didn’t I know this years ago?
  • I’m finally in charge of my home.
  • Thanks for giving me back my child.
  • Did you know this works on my husband?!
  • Why did it take so long for me to find this?
  • This is so much easier than I thought.
  • I’m having fun again being a parent!
  • It’s so easy. It seems almost a “too good to be true”, but it ISN’T!

5th grader – I told him I’d heard his Mom was in a parenting class. “How’s that going?”

“She’s doing great. She’s listening to tapes in the car – me too.”

“How do you like them? Do you think they make a difference?”

“Yeah! And I think they’ll make me a better dad when I have kids.” MM

And these comments “from the mouth of babes”:

  • Why is everybody so nice around here now?!
  • I’m going to be a better mommy when I have kids.
  • I’m learning to be responsible for my own stuff.
  • (to sister) Let’s just figure it out ourselves.
  • Dad doesn’t fight with me anymore.
  • (to brother) Mom’ll be happier if we make good decisions today.

I’ve parented 35 foster children and FINALLY I’ve found the right way to do it!” NF

After 2 workshop modules: “I’ve boxed up all my parenting books that I’ve read over the years. I don’t need them now that I’ve found Love and Logic!” NS

Talking about his week using newfound L&L skills, a dad had a realization in the middle of his own sentence, “My dad was a L&L parent, but didn’t know it – gave choices, didn’t yell, treated me with respect – now I appreciate him and know how to be more like him!” SS

“I’m not angry any more! I have control over my life.” KB

“You’ve saved my child, my sanity, and probably, my marriage [since my husband and I are finally on the same parenting page]!DF
