What’s more important than your family? Parenting is the most challenging job you’ll ever have. Have you tried everything to establish harmony – without success? Still using the systems your folks used on you? Nothing innately wrong with that, but times have changed; parenting strategies have evolved; basic concepts are being challenged – and so are the parents. Too bad kids didn’t come with a manual At least not until now. It’s time for something different.

This isn’t just “expert advice” from psychological theorists or regurgitated ideas from well-meaning magazine articles promising some quick fix. Learn to parent in the present, using time-honored principles of respect, compassion, empathy, kindness, love, strength...the principles of “Love and Logic.”

It’s time to think out of the box!

Jim Fay is the developer of one of America's most sought-after programs of parenting, positive discipline, and classroom management. He is the co-founder of the Love and Logic philosophy. Love and Logic teaches a way of working with children which puts parents and teachers back in control, and teaches children to be responsible and prepared for the real world.

Jim began his career as a teacher, and for 31 years served in public, private, and parochial schools. His classroom experience includes elementary grades 2 - 6, art, and high school music. Jim has also been a school principal and school administrator. For the past 20 years, he has served as an educational consultant and public speaker.

Jim's teaching experience in both inner-city and suburban schools led him to see a need to structure the educational environment in a way that would build positive relationships with students. This structure also needed to teach children responsibility and self-discipline, and at the same time keep teachers from being labeled as "mean." To meet this need, Jim devised the Love and Logic philosophy for use in both homes and classrooms.

Jim is the parent of three children, two of whom have joined him in his work at the Cline/Fay Institute, Inc. He serves as a consultant to schools, parent organizations, mental health organizations, and the U.S. military. Jim appears often on radio and TV talk shows where his delightful sense of humor and story telling style make him a sought-after guest. He’s been recently featured on Good Morning America and across the country on television through the Public Broadcasting Stations.

Jim Fay and the Love and Logic Institute – winner of the 25th Annual Telly Award. This coveted award honors outstanding cable television programs and commercials, plus the finest video/film
